Ingredients
- 1 pound bacon (1 package)
- 14 ounces mini smokies (1 package)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking pan with foil for easy cleanup.
- Cut the bacon into thirds. Wrap one piece of bacon around each mini smokie and secure it with a toothpick.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Roll each bacon-wrapped smokie in the mixture until coated evenly.
- Arrange the smokies on the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Flip the smokies over and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. If baking from frozen, add 5 more minutes to the cooking time.
